Below is a draft of our proposed timeline for the 3D Printing Community of Practice project. We will update it with specific dates and times once we have selected the project participants. Note: These dates may vary depending on the participants’ schedules.

September – October
Participant Selection

November – December
3D Modeling, Printing, & Design Workshop (Saturday, Nov. 7, 11am-3pm)
3D Printing & Collaborative Lesson Plan Design Workshop (Saturday, Dec. 12, 10am-2pm)
Optional Workshop: Setting Up and Using a 3D Printer (Saturday, Dec. 12, 2pm-3pm)
Online learning and collaboration opportunities (e.g., Twitter Chat, Google Hangout, Webinar)

January-February
Implement your first 3d printing lesson plan
Online learning and collaboration opportunities (e.g., Twitter Chat, Google Hangout, Webinar)

February – May
2-3 Meetups (either f2f or online): Share what worked and what didn’t work with your 3d printing lesson plan
Design and implement at least one more 3d printing lesson plan.
